Taylor Hicks on Tour: Live Concert Video from the Longhorn State

All audiovisual media of the Taylor Hicks band kindly shared by Bonnie Cheung.

A warm camaraderie between the performer and his audience is clear from the following video captured during Taylor Hicks’ September 17 concert at McKinney Performing Arts Center, Texas.  Short the lead guitarist and with new bass and drums support, there was no shortage of fun during the show.  Highlights of the set include a harp-sax call and response during What’s Right Is Right, an electric guitar solo by Taylor Hicks during I Live on a Battlefield,  a bluesy interlude during Gonna Move, and the consistently charming banter from the stage.

The following videos were captured during the September 16 show at the Flamingo Room, Houston.  Highlights of the set include harmonica and guitar solos from Taylor Hicks and Dennis ‘Applehead’ Clapp (from opening band Mojofromopolis), respectively, during Back to Louisiana, Jeff Lopez on horns during Hold on to your Love, and Get Back/Running on Empty tags during the performance of Seven Mile Breakdown.

Editor’s Note: It takes a steady hand and discerning eye, not to mention considerable patience to record, process, and then share concert video.  We are very grateful for Bonnie Cheung’s talent and appreciate her generosity.  Thank you, Bonnie!

“Battlefield” from McKinney….OH MY!!! They are all great though that would be my fav too! I marvel at the difference between the 2007, etc. shows and these latest ones! I know we keep saying Taylor gets better with each show, but it’s TRUE! Thank you Bonnie for capturing these great performances AND for sharing them with us.
