“C’mon hurry-up, the Jazz Fest is about to start!”, said the golden-doodle.

This is where all the magical sound mixing occured. By far, one the best sounding, well-balanced concerts witnessed to date!!

  5. You KNOW the sound must have been extremely ‘over the top’; with the area ‘nestled’ in the canyon. I can only imagine! Great pictures help to cement great memories. Thanx♥

  7. Hey, here’s a question to anyone that went: how was Rita Coolidge & Allen Touissant? Who were your favorite performers beside Taylor?

    • My favorite was Taylor, of course, and then Lisa Haley and the Zydekats. Rita Coolidge performed solo then Allen Toussaint came out solo. He had the crowd going with his classic singles. He stayed at the piano and we couldn’t get any shots of him.
Then he and Rita played together. It was a loud, swinging set. You wouldn’t think they would be good together but that is so wrong. The crowd went wild!

Tower of Power had the most punch at the festival. Friday night they rocked the house!

Allen Toussaint. Amazing songwriter, instrumentalist, and singer. Prolific composer including Southern Nights, Yes We Can, Working in a Coal Mine, and Sneaking Sally Through the Alley.
