The shiny, black Taylor guitar was raised as a final emphasis to the end of a song. Later, the black guitar would turn to gold as the sun set on the mountains surrounding Town Park.
‘the sun is sinking down on the…..rockies’
In a conversation we were engaged in at the Sunday Brunch given for Patrons and the Media, the editor and publisher of The Watch newspaper told us they saw all but three songs of Taylor’s set. The couple was eating dinner in their home near Town Park and heard Taylor’s voice and the band’s fantastic sound. They walked over to the park and saw the rest of the set. They both praised Taylor’s voice and the band and now count themselves among the many fans of Taylor Hicks and LIMBO!
‘Here, YOU try it’
‘At this altitude, Jeff can do anything.’
While Taylor and the band made the cool night air ring with blues and rock, waiting in the wings was a fireball musician named Lisa Haley of Lisa Haley and the Zydekats. Having been stuck in the Denver airport with the band on the way to Telluride, it seems they had some rehearsal time.
Part Three continues with Taylor Hicks, Little Memphis Blues Orchestra and Lisa Haley collaborating on ‘Seven Mile Breakdown.’ The tents imploded in the parks. Dogs howled. Wines glasses exploded the music was so hot.
Come back here soon for the recap of that performance and more.
