This photoblog is kindly provided by Paul McLaren, a talented photographer and Jam Cruise passenger who notes that those of us who stayed behind are missing an outstanding time on Jam Cruise 9! Paul reports that both the musicians and entertainment are phenomenal. Everyone is running on just a few hours of sleep, but no one wants to miss any of the action. Unique collaborations and some incredible music continue in the Jam Room until 5 or 6 each morning.
And yet some stay to see the sunrise. Paul reports that musician Taylor Hicks was one of those who watched the ship dock in Costa Maya just before dawn. Nonetheless, Taylor was ready for more on Friday. The American Idol winner was host of “The Gong Show” where passengers were invited to display their talents and be judged. Payback time, Taylor??

Oh My! I knew about the Jam Cruise, but didn’t realize it included a Gong Show’. Taylor must have really enjoyed himself with this. The smile, twinkle in his eyes, & body language kinda say it all.

Get It On, Bang A Gong….Thanks again Paul!
Sometimes I think he is just trying out something he has been offered to do. He has that twinkle in his eye to do this kind of thing and take people along for the ride and fun of it. It celebrates that he was able to compete on the biggest Gong Show of all Time, and get through the weird acts, and go on to win because of his real talent to Entertain! It pokes fun at reality TV, and yet is the kind of thing you can’t take your eyes off – especially with a man as handsome as he is. He is getting better looking as he matures into his gray hair. He is a seasoned Entertainer. He can do it all, and gets better with each job. Go Taylor!

Taylor is just so talented. I’m sure a good time was had by all. The best Christmas gift Taylor could have received would have been a membership to Weight Watchers & a good gym. He’s just too much of a good thing. At least now he appears hefty & muscular. In his Idol days he was puffy & flabby. He’s still my favorite Idol – nothing will ever change that.
If I had wake up early on a Sunday morning … and I did … this was a great way to do it. Thank you! Love to see that man smile and having such a good time. His joy and sweetness is infectious. Thanks again!
